Christmas? Check. Slime?
Check. Why not add these two things together? Here's how. I have even listed all the shops...
Sometimes it's really hard to find good slime ingredients in the UK. But don't worry; I have the perfect solution for you. I am going to show you how to make candy cane slime using only UK ingredients.
What you will need:
- PVA (washable) glue *you can get this anywhere: Tesco, Hobbycraft etc.*
- Red and green food dye/paint *again this can be found anywhere*
- Bicarbonate of soda *can be found in the baking aisle of a supermarket*
- Baby oil *optional*
-Biotrue contact lens solution *must contain boric acid/can be found at Tesco*
Method
~ Add your glue to a bowl
~ Mix in red food dye/paint
~ Spray in your baby oil (this makes it more stretchy)
~ Add in a pinch of bicarbonate of soda
~ Little by little, keep adding in your Biotrue solution *Be careful not to add too much as it will go rubbery if you do*
~ Take it out and play with it for around 3-4 minutes. It will be sticky at first, but not later.
~Repeat these steps, but add green instead of red.
~Mix the two slimes together and... ta da! You should be left with a stunning candy-cane marble slime!
I hope this has been helpful and thank you for reading my first ever blog post!
