Writing a song?

Writing a song and finding it super hard? Don't worry, I've got some tips for you.

I've written three or four songs now and every single one of them has been because I had no other way of letting things out. For example: If you are having a hard time at school, think about what you want to say to the world about it. Are you stressing about something? Express yourself through lyrics!
Now, the part which I found the hardest: the melody. I ALWAYS found this really hard and whenever I tried a melody it ended up going back to a song which had already been written by a pop artist! This was really frustrating, but then I searched up on YouTube the sort of thing my lyrics were about. For example: Broken Friends song. It will come up with some small YouTubers who have talked about their feelings, through song. This inspired me so much. If you play a musical instrument, that will help. I took a couple of chords out of the song and put them together. Slowly, your melody should come together.
Now, put them together. No, your song might not sound amazing or professional, but this is your first try! Everyone has to start somewhere...
