Glue for slime (uk)

Lots of the time, when making slime, I struggle on which glue to use as I live in the UK. Elmer's glue is good, but it is expensive as it comes from America. This is a common problem that people ask about, so here I am to help.

I have tried a couple of different types of glue, mainly from very local places, for example a local Tesco, or even a post office or a craft store.
The first glue I used was School PVA White Glue from Hobbycraft, the one with the blue label, and this was very good and did the job, but it wasn't perfect and I found sometimes the slime would be fine and then overnight go rubbery.
The second glue I tried was also from Hobbycraft, it was the School PVA White Glue, but with the RED label. This made really good slimes, but I was worried that they would go rubbery overnight, so I played with them in the evenings, and in the morning it was still amazing slime! This Hobbycraft glue is better, but and pound or two more expensive.
I tried another glue after the red label success, and this was glue from a post office and it was just normal White PVA glue. It wasn't washable or school glue, like the others were, so I was a little nervous to try it. When I did use it, it was amazing for slime it was a really odd texture, a good one, but I can't explain it, it was sort of a butter like slime but not so tough that it could be classified as a butter slime. It was quite overpriced for about £2.30 for a small bottle, but I was willing to get more because it made such good slimes, but when I was about to go back to the shop, I decided to feel the slimes I had made with it, just in case. When I felt them, they were awful! Every last one of them had gone hard and rubbery, too ruubbery to even be classified as a putty. So don't make my mistake and only buy them for slime if they say 'washable' or 'school glue' on them.
This last glue I tried was from Tesco and it was an own-brand one. I as excited to try this as my friend had had such good results with it. I would have gotten a big bottle, but they were sold out, so I got a couple of small bottles. The small bottles were only £1 each, which was really good value. When I tried this glue out, I was amazed at having such good results! They were constantly stretchy and had good pokes and even after several months they were still brilliant.

Overall I recommend the Tesco own-brand glue the most, even though the red label Hobbycraft one was good it was slightly overpriced.
I hope this has been helpful to you, be sure to comment if it has!
